Tsui added…”The song was inspired by the idea of the doomsday clock, a measure of how close we are to a man-made global catastrophe – and in 2018 we’re as close as we’ve ever been to the “midnight” which on the clock’s scale represents a disaster like nuclear war or environmental collapse.”
