SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (12-11-18) — Bomb threat triggers evacuation of the Facebook Menlo Park campus. Menlo Park police told JRL CHARTS that they received an anonymous tip about a bomb threat at 4:32 pm local time. The Menlo Park police department issued an alert shortly after 5 pm.
They told the public to avoid the area around the 200 block of Jefferson Drive in Menlo Park while officers investigate the bomb threat. Both Facebook and Instagram have corporate offices located at 200 Jefferson Drive.
Menlo Park police said in a statement: “Avoid the area of the 200 block of Jefferson Drive in Menlo Park. Police are investigating a bomb threat. No further details are available.”
