COLUMBIA, MO.— (11-09-18) — A knife-wielding woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of robbing an adult store at knife point. Kayla Dugan of Columbia, has been charged with first-degree robbery and attempting to escape from police custody. Police said Kayla Dugan filled a shopping cart full of items at Passions Adult store located at 108 Business Loop 70 E., on Tuesday Nov. 6.

According to police Kayla Dugan pulled a knife on an employee of the Passions adult store when the employee tried to stop her from leaving with the merchandise.

Dugan returned to the adult store Wednesday and was arrested. Dugan confessed to a detective of the Columbia police department. Dugan allegedly said she had already sold the items she stole from the Passions adult store, according to a probable cause statement filed in her case.

Kayla Dugan also tried to run out of the garage at the Columbia Police Department while handcuffed, but police were able to catch up to her quickly, said police.

Dugan also has outstanding warrants for failure to appear and probation violations. Her bond on the new charges of first degree robbery and attempting to escape from police was set at $100,000.  Dugan remained in the Boone County Jail as of Friday morning.
