Graham Perryman, 50, (Pictured Right) threatened staff at the popular adult store ‘Nice ‘n’ Naughty’ with a handgun before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Perryman was arrested after police released CCTV footage of the robbery that took place in August 2016.
At Liverpool Crown Court, defendant Graham Perryman, plead guilty to robbery and possession of an imitation firearm. The The Nice ‘n’ Naughty employee involved in the crime said she had nightmares from the incident. CCTV footage showed Perryman entering the store in drag. However after reviewing the footage, he was simply a man in a dress.
Perryman got into a brief struggle with the employee before grabbing the cash and making a hasty getaway. In her personal statement to the court, the victim said: “Just talking about the incident my voice starts wobbling. Sometimes when I am in work when the door opens I jump, due to fear of who is coming through the door. Noise of the door opening takes me back to the incident.”
Det Ch Insp John Webster, of Merseyside Police added…”The staff at the shop were thankfully unhurt but we are pleased that Perryman, clearly a dangerous man, has been removed from the streets for the foreseeable future.” said Webster.
Graham Perryman was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in jail.
Patrons continue to support the extremely popular ‘Nice ‘n’ Naughty’ boutique showing that criminals will not destroy what they have built in the Liverpool community.
