Adult store robbery suspect is a person of interest in two robberies in the Memphis area over the past week, according to the Memphis Police Department. The first robbery took place at the Walgreens near the intersection of Summer Avenue and N Perkins Road. The male suspect entered the store dressed as an employee and some how was able to get into the store’s safe and took a large amount of cash.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect and the alleged getaway vehicle after the man struck a second time at on Tuesday April 30, when he entered the  Romantix Adult Store located at 2214 E. Brooks Road, with a black semi-automatic handgun pointing it at the cashier demanding money.  During this incident, the suspect posed as a customer and approached the counter.  He then produced a large black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the safe and cash register.  The suspect then fled the scene in what appeared to be a new model Silver Kia Sorento with unknown tags westbound on Brooks Rd.

In addition to cash, the suspect took the keys to the adult store. Memphis police confirmed to our newsroom that the suspect is described as follows: Male black, 5’10, 180lbs, dark complexion, medium build, long dreadlock hairstyle, buck teeth, gray Xfinity contractor shirt, Khaki pants, black shoes and Dallas Cowboys toboggan.
