Bill Cosby, who was once considered the iconic American father on the hit 80s sitcom, was convicted of sexual assault Thursday in a high-stakes retrial after more than 6 women testified against him claiming that he drugged them in order to sexually assault them.

The jury took two days deliberating the case with several instances where the jury foremen requested several pieces of testimony be read over again to the jury.

Bill Cosby now 80, has been found guilty on all three counts of aggravated indecent assault against one woman, Andrea Constand, 45, drawing an explosive emotional reaction from Cobsy’s other accusers in the courtroom while Cosby stood there next to his attorney Thomas Mesereau (Michael Jackson), with his head bent slightly and eyes shut.

Already the media and social media blogs are calling this the first major courtroom victory for the #MeToo movement which has helped to expose some of the most powerful people in the entertainment industry over sexual harassment and misconduct.

Following the verdict, Bill Cosby lashed out at prosecutors when they asked Judge Steven O’Neill to revoke Cosby’s bail and suggesting that the 80 year-old entertainment was a flight risk. Kevin Steele, the Montgomery County district attorney stated that Cosby’s wealth and resources including owning a private plane, give us cause for concern.

Cosby lashed out saying…”He doesn’t have a plane, you asshole! I’m sick of it, you asshole!” said Cosby.

Bill Cosby is now facing a maximum sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $25,000 on each count. Judge O’Neill allowed Cosby to remain free on bail until sentencing but is unlikely to spend much time in jail.

Judge O’Neill stated that because of the defendant’s age and medical condition which includes poor eyesight, “I am not going to simply lock him up.” Cosby has to surrender his passport and must remain in his nearby home,” said Judge O’Neill.

Lili Bernard, an accuser who once appeared on “The Cosby Show”, wailed as the verdict was read and then began to cry in court to the point where bailiffs had to escort her out of the courtroom.

“I feel like my faith in humanity is restored,” said Bernard in tears outside the courtroom.

Cosby’s lawyers upon exiting the courthouse, told reporters that they would “very strongly” appeal the verdict.
