In one priceless new PSA, BuzzFeed has released an ingenious way of capturing one’s attention in their public service announcement warning people about believing everything they read in the age of modern media.

In the new PSA entitled, “You Won’t Believe What Obama Says In This Video”, former president Obama uses examples of things he would have never used in any public address to the nation. He brings up examples of slanders against other people and even took a swipe at Trump by saying “President Trump is a complete and utter dipshit”.

This was followed by filmmaker Jordan Peele who illustrates ready-made software to demonstrate how easily those words can literally be put into the mouths of other people and if you are like 90% of the world, you wouldn’t pay that close attention to the frames in the video.

BuzzFeed’s CEO Jonah Peretti said the following about their new PSA…“We’ve covered counterfeit news websites that say the Pope endorsed Trump that look kinda like real news, but because it’s text people have started to become more wary. And now we’re starting to see tech that allows people to put words into the mouths of public figures that look like they must be real because it’s video and video doesn’t lie!” said Peretti.
