SOUTH KOREA – Holland has become the instant hit sensation as the first ever openly Gay K-Pop music star of the Korean music industry with the release of his new single’s music video, “Neverland” [2018]. The new K-Pop track cements Holland’s place in history books as the first openly Gay K-Pop Pop Idol.

You will be captivated by Holland’s “Neverland” track as he put his sexuality front-and-center in his debut music video that fans are already begging for more.

The K-Pop music newcomer dropped his first single “Neverland” last Friday on Jan. 21, kicking off 2018 as an instand hit newcomer with a song and music video that revels in queer love. Holland’s “Neverland” single is a mellow alt-R&B track takes you into the emotions of a young man who wants to avoid discrimination, harassment and fear of love while at the same time attempting to escape to a place where he can find love and be himself without fear of retribution.

While Holland at the moment, doesn’t have large agency backing such as YG Entertainment or S.M. Entertainment or C9 Entertainment, he has already becoming a household name in little over a week of getting the attention of the K-pop scene.  He first caught their attention when he dropped his teaser video which many major labels in South Korea are doing these days to promote either a new single, TV show or movie. When they reviewed his professional quality in his work, K-pop watchers were instantly eager to see more diversity and LGBTQ+ representation in the Korean idol industry.

When Holland dropped the official gay music video “Neverland” [2018] on Jan. 21 to the Korean Idol market fan-base, the video racked up more than 700,000 views within 24 hours of its debut. At the time of this article, Neverland [2018] had reach over 2,649,231 views on YouTube. The song has quickly spurred worldwide trending with the hashtag #HollandDebutDay on Twitter.

Holland joins the ranks of the openly K-Pop music sensations who have come out as Gay including Hong Suk Chun and Harisu.
