WILMINGTON, NC — Wilmington Police Department detectives are investigating the armed robbery at one of the city’s popular adult novelty stores that took place Monday night.
According to a WPD spokesperson, one male suspect dressed from head to toe in black including having his face covered with a scarf of some kind, entered the Sweet Vibrations located at 6213 Market Street right before midnight.
The suspect entered the store brandishing a gun pointed towards the clerk. He then demanded money from the cash register before forcing the clerk to move to the back room. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash but thankfully, no one was physically harmed during the robbery. The clerk understandably is shaken up but did not require medical attention.
The Sweet Vibrations adult boutique is very popular in the city for being known as the leader in its selection of adult DVDs, adult novelties, fetishes and more.
