REHOBOTH BEACH, DE — After a some what quiet summer from adult stores being targeted for armed robberies, Delaware State Police have confirmed to JRL that they are investigating last Monday’s armed robbery at the popular Rehoboth Beach adult Leather and Fetish boutique.

According Delaware State Police Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe, one male suspect entered Leather Central located at Unit A 36983 Rehoboth Avenue around 7:54 p.m. on Aug. 28, said Delaware State Police Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe.

“The male suspect approached the counter, showed a handgun to a store employee and demanded money. The employee complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. Luckily no one was injured in the crime.” said Jaffe.

“The suspect is described as a black male, over 6 feet tall, 200 to 225 pounds and between 25 and 35 years of age.” said Jaffe.

According to the Leather Central employee on duty at the time, the suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light-colored pants and light-colored shoes. The suspect covered his face with a mask.
