SOUTH BEND, IN — The South Bend police department’s homicide & Robbery division, confirmed to our newsroom that they have arrested a man who allegedly is behind a popular South Bend adult store’s three robberies over the past three weeks.

romantix-armed-robbery-surveilanceThe suspect identified as Jordan Sanders, 24, has been charged with four counts of robbery, including three holdups at the popular Romantix adult store located at 2715 S. Main St.

Detectives questioned Sanders for hours about the Romantix robberies after he was arrested and taken into custody bythe  St. Joseph County police department in connection with a separate robbery that took place last Monday Nov. 21.

The adult retail chain giant’s South Bend location had reported being robbed Oct. 31, Nov. 15,  and Nov. 18.  On luck and cooperation with the County police department, they contacted South Bend investigators after finding Sanders’s car matched the description of a vehicle used by the suspect in the Romantix robberies.

Jordan Sanders was arraigned last Wednesday before a St. Joseph Superior Court magistrate and is currently being held on a $12,000 bond.  Sanders is scheduled for his first appearance before a Superior Court Judge on Dec. 6.

Finally the Romantix South Bend store’s employees and customers can relax knowing that this alleged serial armed robbery suspect is now in custody.
