NEW YORK, NY – Donald Trump’s shocking win to become the 45th President of the United States has caused the stock market to take a nose dive upon the announcement that Secretary Hillary Clinton called to concede the election.  Investors were shocked as they believed Clinton would win.  The 70-year old Real Estate Mogul has secured the win with 278 Electoral Votes and the world is reacting.

The silent majority who  has handed Donald J. Trump the presidency has shocked the world.   When President Elect-Trump gave his acceptance speech, he seemed humble without his usual brash of comments that have offended nearly every group in the country.

The question now is what will a President Trump commit to out of his campaign rhetoric.  His first 100 days will be eye opening.  He will have a lot on his plate that he claimed through the campaign to have the  solutions too without giving any details as to how he would solve them to Americans.

Healthcare, Syrian Refugees, Immigration Reform, NAFTA, NATO, manufacturing jobs, infrastructure..the list goes on.   The main stream media is in complete shock as this is the first time that I have witnessed every single media outlet on all sides of the spectrum appeared to be in utter shock at the results of this election.

CNN contributor “Van Jones“, said “A Trump victory is a “nightmare” said Jones.  “It would be difficult for many parents to explain to their kids how a man who regularly insults and belittles others was the president-elect.  People have talked about a miracle ― I’m hearing about a nightmare,” Jones said on CNN. “It’s hard to be a parent tonight for a lot of us. You tell your kids, ‘Don’t be a bully.’ You tell your kids, ‘Don’t be a bigot.’ You tell your kids, ‘Do your homework and be prepared.’ Then you have this outcome, and you have people putting children to bed tonight and they’re afraid of breakfast.  They’re afraid of, ‘How do I explain this to my children?’ I have Muslim friends who are texting me tonight saying, ‘Should I leave the country?’ I have families of immigrants that are terrified tonight.” said Jones.

Univision posted an op-ed on the Trump victory and by surprise, were not at all negative in their coverage.  Now Republicans have the presidency, senate and house of representatives.   Will the Democrats recover after this?  How were the polls all wrong over the past 9 months?  Even Trump’s own campaign was shocked at the results.

Tomorrow in offices across the nation there will be co-workers looking at one another to see if they were the one who helped push Trump over the top.   Did the Democrats come out in force as anticipated?  Many questions are still yet to be answered.  But for now, we must come together as a nation and show the rest of the world why the United States is still by far the perfect example of democracy and freedom.

However let me make one thing clear, LGBTQ community will not surrender our fight for equality. Our community has come to far to quit now and while Election Night 2016 was a devistating defeat for progressives, our fight as one community in one great nation will continue.
